# UrjaSolar > The CRM built for Indian rooftop solar EPCs: lead capture, a real six-stage subsidy and DISCOM tracker, and a private workspace per business. ## What it does UrjaSolar replaces spreadsheets and WhatsApp threads for rooftop solar EPCs in India. It tracks leads from first contact through to an installed, subsidy-disbursed system, with the six-stage DISCOM and subsidy pipeline modeled as its own record instead of a single status field. ## Modules - Lead management: Capture every lead in one place, with source tracking, city/property details, and assignment to a specific team member. - Subsidy and application tracker: The full six-stage DISCOM pipeline, not a single status field. Every stage change is logged with who changed it and when. - Your own workspace: Every business gets its own isolated organization the moment they sign up. Admins invite the team; nobody sees another company's data. - A dashboard that knows what's yours: Stat cards for the whole pipeline, plus an "assigned to you" view so every rep opens straight to their own leads and applications. ## How it works 1. Capture the lead: Add the homeowner's details, address, and roof info from WhatsApp, an ad, or a walk-in, in under a minute. 2. Track every DISCOM stage: Move the application through all six stages, from portal registration to subsidy disbursement, with a full history of who changed what. 3. Assign it and move on: Hand the lead or application to whoever owns it. It shows up on their dashboard, not buried in a shared spreadsheet. ## The six-stage subsidy pipeline 1. Portal registration (typical time: 1 day): Consumer number and DISCOM connection verified on the national portal. 2. DISCOM feasibility approval (typical time: 7 to 15 days): DISCOM checks transformer load and roof suitability. 3. Vendor selection and installation (typical time: 7 to 21 days): Empanelled vendor installs using ALMM listed equipment only. 4. Net metering application (typical time: 15 to 45 days): Bidirectional meter requested. The single biggest bottleneck. 5. DISCOM inspection and commissioning (typical time: 7 to 15 days): Physical inspection. Non ALMM equipment is the top rejection reason. 6. Subsidy disbursement (DBT) (typical time: 15 to 30 days): Central subsidy credited to bank account after commissioning. ## FAQ ### How is this different from a generic CRM? Generic CRMs treat the subsidy and DISCOM process as one status field. UrjaSolar tracks all six stages separately, each with its own history of who changed it and when. ### Does the DISCOM status update automatically? Not yet. There is no live government portal integration today. Your team updates each stage as it happens, and every change is logged. ### Is my company's data separate from other companies? Yes. Signing up creates an isolated workspace for your business. Nothing your team creates is ever visible to another organization. ### How do new employees get an account? An admin adds them from the Team page, setting a temporary password and a role. There's no separate signup step for staff. ### Where is our data stored? In MongoDB, either self-hosted or on your own MongoDB Atlas instance. ## Key facts - Category: CRM / business software for solar EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, Construction). - Region: built for the Indian rooftop solar market and DISCOM subsidy process. - Access: role-based (admin, supervisor); every account belongs to its own isolated organization created at signup. - Pages: [Home](https://www.urjasolar.xyz/), [Log in](https://www.urjasolar.xyz/login), [Create account](https://www.urjasolar.xyz/register).
